Residential Care Manager
Manager required for Children's Residential Care
We are looking for a dynamic manager to take over the running of a successful residential children's home with a good Ofsted rating. The home is for boys ages 10-18yrs, with challenging behaviour, ADHD, SEN and Autism in the Chard area.
We specialise in providing a safe, secure learning environment for young people and adults with special needs and challenging behaviour. We have two amazing residential homes for young people, an adult CQC home, and one very unique, approved, independent special school for 16 pupils aged 7 to 25. Care and School work in unison, to provide positive outcomes which enable young people to function successfully in the community.
Qualifications accepted, HSE Level 5 Diploma in leadership in Health & Social Care Children and Young People, Level 4 MRCC (Managers in Residential Child Care), Level 4 RMA (Residential Manager's Award in Childcare), or Level 4 Leadership and Management and care for children and young people combined.
The salary is calculated on 175 hours per month, flexibly worked to ensure good management of the home, support of staff and care of the young people.
On call support is required to be provided on an ABC rota system, where one weekend in 3 will be the manager's responsibility. Weekend on-call managers are supported by an experienced carer or on call senior and available as first cover for any sickness across the two homes.
The manager will be responsible for taking calls, managing emergencies, guidance and decision-making. Some office hours may be worked evenings or during on-call weekends, this is encouraged and enables monitoring of the homes day-to-day running.
Salary depending on experience from ??27,000 to ??31,000 pa
Full driving licence required.
