KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a good combination of new business development and client account management skills, with the ability to negotiate, close deals and develop existing client relationships.

PLEASE NOTE: This job will involve around 30-50% of your time travelling nationally to meet Corporate / Business Clients, which may involve some overnight stays when required.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sales Manager that has excellent business development, negotiating, closing and B2B client account management skills.

Working as the Sales Manager you will provide Corporate Businesses and SMEs with a vital risk management solution that will be used to effectively mitigate financial and legal risk for the company, increase customer loyalty and prevent irreparable brand damage.

As the Sales Manager you will be based in the Wokingham office, but will be required to attend pre-arranged client meetings nationwide, which may require some overnight stays. The role will involve a combination of new business development, following up on leads generated by the Leads Generation Team and Client Account Management.

As an ideal candidate you will be an enthusiastic problem solver that has great relationship development skills with a strong commercial understanding of business.

Your responsibilities as the Sales Manager will involve supporting the commercial activity plans to meet the growth objectives of the Company’s business in Europe, with the main focus around the management of prospects, building and managing a strategic sales pipe, building commercial proposals and the procurement and relationship management of key service providers.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Creating detailed proposal documents with a strong understanding of margin position and business profitability
  • Identifying and managing hot strategic prospects for new business
  • Responding timely to incoming prospect enquiries
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to present a compelling solution
  • Understanding customer needs and using it appropriately to close a deal
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Maintaining and developing good relationships with existing customers
  • Gathering market and customer information to improve/enhance approach
  • Representing the Company at trade exhibitions, events and seminars
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications vendors / strategic partners
  • Advising clients on forthcoming product developments
  • Feeding future buying trends back to the business
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent understanding of project margins and profitability
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to present a compelling solution
  • Experience in a sales representative role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • High degree of self-motivation and ambition
  • Skills to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Capability to flourish in a competitive environment
  • Financially savvy and strong understanding of profitability
  • Any previous industry experience in Automotive, Manufacturing or Retail would be highly desirable, although not essential
  • Degree in Business Economics / Marketing would be desirable
