What are the responsibilities of the Assistant Production Controller?
- To project mange the scenario planning and manufacture of reprints, First-time paperbacks and Buy-In's for the Academic book group, plus any other manufacturing requirements that arise, using approved internal and external suppliers and procedures to meet stock date, quality and budget requirements.
- To manage routine admin tasks performed by the group such as creating SAP reprint orders.
- To support the Production Controller's in managing multiple projects with varying requirements simultaneously, problem solving and influencing others to ensure reprint requirements are met.
- To deliver a high level of customer service at all times.
What skills do I need to have to become an Assistant Production Controller?
We are looking for candidates with a working knowledge of print production procedures, with publishing experience desirable. You will possess effective organisation, communication and project management skills, as well as being able to work efficiently within a team. Furthermore, you will also boast a range of technical skills including Photoshop, ftp, Filemaker, Acrobat, InDesign and SAP.
