The role

The Head of Engineering Research & Design is a key player in the Engineering Team with overall responsibility for leading the function in all operational engineering matters and input into the function’s strategic development.  The role acts as the interface between Engineering and the Senior Leadership Team.

Specifically, the key success of this role is the proven ability to provide overall management of our current and future business critical engineering projects, whilst managing the expectations of our key stakeholders.  The ability to lead, inspire and motivate is essential.

Desirable is experience within the commercial aerospace passenger cabin environment desirable, especially on B737 and A320 platforms, but not essential. Proven background in Engineering required, product engineering in a tier 1 manufacture. Essential is experience of having worked in a highly regulated environment, (eg aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear, medical, automotive).
