Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Technician - FTSE 100 Engineering Organisation - up to ??28,500 + Benefits + excellent career progression. Bridgewater. I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 100 Engineering Organisation and market leader in through life engineering support across the defence, nuclear, marine and rail industries. We are looking to recruit an experienced EC&I Technician to work with a team of engineers and technicians in the completion of cradle to grave installations and modifications to plant and systems. Responsibilities Site surveying and scope identificationWorking to drawings, instructions, methods statements and risk assessments.Modifying electrical control panelsInstallation of uni-strut, cable tray and trunkingElectrical (typically 110V/415V) and instrumentation installations (4-20mA Analogue)Relay Logic Control SystemsFault finding and rectificationInstrumentation configuration and setup (e.g. dataloggers)Supporting the commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation installations.Maintaining safety in all works undertaken in line with regulatory and company compliance policies.Secondary roles within the team as required by the Engineer in ChargeIdentifying issues/improvements/recommendations to plant and equipment for consideration by engineersWorking at height, in confined spaces and within radiological controlled areas.Basic IT skills required (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)Flexibility with working hours will be required on occasion, often at short notice, to fit in with the process nature of projects. This may include extended hours, weekend working or night shift working in line with the working time regulations. Requirements Recognised Training Scheme or ApprenticeshipSuccessful completion of current IEE Regulations TrainingAbility to understand and work from electrical schematical drawingsPrevious experience of electrical installation work within an industrial environment essential.Site Installation/Maintenance experience (preferred) in Nuclear/Power GenerationAbility to work in a heavily regulated, Safety Critical Environmen The successful EC&I technician can expect to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment and enjoy the benefits of working for a FTSE 100 organisation.
