My Birmingham (B6) based client is currently seeking an experienced (Brightware) sheet metal worker to work as part of a prolific metal finishing company. The business supplies a number of high-end automotive brands, and therefore the quality of work undertaken must be of the highest standard.
The successful candidates will work within the manufacturing department, working with various measurements of sheet metal. While most of the work is carried out on stainless steel parts, some products may also be aluminium and to a brightware finish; therefore experience on both of these metals would be highly advantageous.
There is a strict sequence in place to ensure that parts are finished in a timely fashion, due to the high expectations of the automotive customers. Therefore candidates must be disciplined and able to take orders, working well as part of a cohesive team.
It is essential that ALL applicants have:
- Experience in reading drawings and using measuring tools.
- Bending and cutting sheet metal (particularly stainless steel and/or aluminium)
- High attention to detail, due to the strict processes in places (particularly throughout bright ware and mirror-image services)
- A strong work ethic with proven metal finishing experience, with the willingness to take real pride in their work.
Starting rates are negotiable depending on experience, however it will most likely fall between GBP10.50 and GBP13.00 per hour.
Hours of work: (Apply online only) Monday to Thursday, and (Apply online only) on a Friday
