Health and Safety Co-ordinator
Location: Can be based from Winchester, Daventry or Huddersfield
Travel involved in the role across UK sites
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Co-ordinator to carry out site inspections and co-ordinator active monitoring of employees, contractors and site shares across the group. You will be working for a well known telecoms company who are keen to add to their team due to the ever expanding landscape.
Working from heights you will need to have a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation (SHE) and a professional safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH Health and Safety or NEBOSH Construction Certification. You will hold a full driving license with a willingness to travel and spend nights away from home (fully expensed).
Job specifics for this role include:
1 Co-ordinate a programme of active monitoring to encompass supplier audits, internal audits and inspections covering sites, employees, contractors and site sharers.
2 Monitor and report on progress against the programme. Produce active monitoring monthly reports which include analysis of findings to identify further areas of focus or improvement.
3 Keep sources of information that drive active monitoring such as the contractor list, geographical project map etc up to date.
4 Carry out site inspections and internal audits in accordance with the programme. Produce reports to specified timescales and quality. Disseminate and follow up actions to ensure timely and effective close out.
5 Keep site based SHE information up to date based on information found on site or reported to SHE team.
