City centre venue in Cambridge is currently recruiting for a Manager to open their pub restaurant in the New Year. This is a small pub/restaurant where you will manage a team of around 3 or 4 whilst remaining hands on throughout the year.
Successful candidates should have experience as a General Manager or Front of House Manager for a busy bar/pub/restaurant and be confident in their ability to deliver the best customer service whilst leading by example.
This role will be hands on with management approach, you will serve guests during service hours and ensure the site runs smoothly. You will fulfil Health & Safety obligations, assist and lead staff training, management & recruitment. Your role will include taking orders, serving food and drink, clearing tables and setting up for service. You will also be required to check and create customer bills, handle cash, use the company's tills, take payments and resolve customer queries. You will have cashing up and locking up responsibilities to adhere to as well as reporting to the Area Manager on P&L and clearly marked KPI's.
This is a centrally located site that will require a manager with the passion and warmness that ensures the locals look forward to coming in and seeing a friendly face behind the bar!
Head Chef also required for this venue therefore chef/manager couples or existing co-workers will be considered
