Corporate Accountant - CCAB, CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS

Qualified Corporate Accountant (CCAB, CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) required for permanent position with public sector client based in East Lothian The successful candidate will join their team on the capital programme; they will work closely on the treasury management side and also take a lead role in the preparation of statutory accounts. They will require strong technical knowledge with the ability to work collaboratively with services. Essential Skills Qualified accountant with membership of a CCAB (CIPFA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) professional accounting body.Substantial experience of working in local authority finance, and / or a wider financial environment.Substantial experience of budgeting, management and financial accounting and financial forecasting.Ability to assess and communicate complex or technical issues effectively.Awareness of current financial climate and potential impacts on an organisationDeveloped negotiating skills with the ability to influence and challenge decision-makers at all levels.Skilled user of IT packages especially MS Excel.Developed report writing skills.
