Quality Engineer - Nottinghamshire - GBP24,000 - GBP26,000
My client are a leading manufacturing company within the construction industry and are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team based in the East Midlands. The Quality Engineer will be assisting the Quality Team, and be responsible for monitoring the quality of units produced onsite.
The successful Quality Engineer will ideally be a Civil or Structural Qualified Engineer and ideally have experience with precast or concreate engineering / manufacturing experience. Experience / knowledge of Civil or Structural Qualified Engineer. Ability to read technical drawings would be essential for the role. This role would suit either a graduate with some experience or a Civil / Structural Quality Engineer looking for a new challenge.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer:
* Experience / Knowledge of Civil or Structural Qualified Engineer.
* At least 1 years experience with Precast or Site Engineer Experience.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Exposure to technical documents including codes and specifications such as BS EN 206 would be beneficial but not essential.
* Will have a driving license.
Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer:
* Checking plans and drawings to ensure the right information is relayed to employees.
* Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors, supervisors, design manager, buyer, quantity surveyor and the general workforce involved in live projects.
* Reviewing work on the site, including monitoring of concrete quality during pouring, mould set ups and finished units.
* Final inspections to ensure up to manufacturers standard.
* Preparing non-conformance reports and investigating ongoing quality issues with the Quality Manager.
Package for the Quality Engineer:
* Salary: GBP24,000 - GBP26,000.
* Will initially be a temp to perm contract.
