This gorgeous 4 star Hotel in the beautiful and historic city of Cambridge is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager for its Fine Dining Restaurant.
The Property
The Hotel is in a great location and an easy stroll to the city's attractions, boasting a view overlooking 25 acres of open parkland. There are 84 rooms, conference facilities, a bar and their fine dining restaurant serves freshly prepared delicious food using locally sourced ingredients with a selection of fabulous wines.
The Role of Fine Dining Restaurant Manager
As Fine Dining Restaurant Manager, you will look after take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant. There is a strong kitchen team led by a superb Executive Head Chef, and the front of house is staffed with an excellent group of friendly, hard-working, dedicated hospitality professionals.
Responsibilities as Restaurant Manager
* Meet and greet customers, organise table reservations and offer advice about menu choices
* Analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability
* Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control and sales
* Coordinate the operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
* Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff
* Respond to customer queries and complaints
In the role of Restaurant Manager, you will work 39 hours a week over 5 days.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful for the role of Restaurant Manager, you will have a track record of success in high quality restaurants and will have the leadership skills to help the team perform to their full potential - delivering a very warm welcome and an elegant style of service. You will need:
* Excellent spoken & written English
* Strong administration skills
* Previous recent Restaurant Management experience
* Good Health and Safety knowledge
* Able to deliver one to one coaching and performance review management
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Rewards
For the role of Restaurant Manager there is on offer:
* A salary of GBP24,000 to GBP27,000 per annum, depending on experience
* Merit bonus
