Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Group Marketing Director (GMD)

Hours: Full time post (9 a.m. to 5.15 p.m Mon-Fri)

Overview:
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

You will be responsible for:
This dynamic and enthusiastic team player will oversee: strategic planning, campaign reporting, campaign communications, and the execution of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities in support of program goals and priorities. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Campaign Director will manage a team of experienced fundraisers and assist in coordinating messaging efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in major gifts and managing campaigns, be results-oriented, and thrive on building and stewarding relationships.
Campaign Director
• Develop in consultation with the GMD integrated B2C and B2B (exhibitors) marketing campaign strategies and activity plans for exhibitions that use channels effectively and that will achieve campaign objectives including generating qualified leads
• Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of integrated marketing campaigns, on time and within budget
• Work with key stakeholders to implement campaign activity
• Brief external agencies including creative, digital, PR and media planning agencies to deliver campaign activity against brief
• Manage agency campaign implementation and performance against agreed campaign activity
• Write and edit copy for a range of promotional printed materials and publications including annual prospectuses, Events profiles, adverts, online tools, promotional flyers/previews etc
• Be responsible for the production and sourcing of all campaign materials
• Deliver campaign activity presentations and regular results presentations

Campaign Reporting
• Ensure each campaign has clear metrics as agreed with the GMD and ensure that campaigns
are achieving appropriate return on investment in line with set goals.

• Deliver bi-weekly optimization and monthly reporting of results against metrics, including use of web analysis tools such as Google Analytics, email data reports, KPI report evaluations, call volume and ticket bookings etc.

• Carry out post campaign analysis to report KPIs and distribute learning for future campaigns

• Work with GMD to understand stakeholder feedback to influence future campaign work

• Manage the master plan of activity to ensure that individual campaigns dovetail effectively without duplication or over-exposure whilst still achieving individual campaign objectives

• Complete competitor benchmarking for promotional activity and report regularly to GMD

• Participate in events and promotional activities necessary to support the promotion of
the programme, if required

Stakeholder Management

• Work with stakeholders to obtain buy in for campaigns and to obtain information to devise, prepare and produce campaign activity and content.

• Coordinate campaign activity including website updates, social media activity and PR activity to deliver campaign objectives

• Develop CRM strategies for each campaign and coordinate CRM activity including communication emails, data pulls etc.

• Coordinate event activity at events with the events team

• Liaise with the GMD to ensure campaign materials are aligned to overall collateral and NCC guidelines

• Liaise with the GMD to ensure appropriate exposure is built into the overall campaign plan and to coordinate delivery of campaign activity as appropriate

• Liaise with the PR and internal communications teams to deliver supporting activity for campaigns as required

Agency management

• Day-to-day management of external agencies to develop plans, creative, production and print that achieve ROI required per campaign

• Ensure that brand standards and identity guidelines are adhered to

General Responsibilities

• Input to the annual Strategic Marketing Planning process

• To ensure accuracy of marketing materials and be responsible for formal sign off process where required

• To ensure detailed and accurate records are maintained, e.g. recording contract and financial information

• Adhere to all policies and procedures with regards to budget expenditure, displaying budget control and reporting any variances promptly to the GMD

• Actively partake in the running of Events providing ideas and best practice synonymous with a high performance team

Skills, knowledge, qualifications required for job

Essential skills - You must have proven ability in the following areas:
• Managing multi integrated campaigns simultaneously
• Advertising, digital and CRM marketing knowledge and experience
• Profit and Loss responsibility

• Meeting objectives and campaign deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills

Education and experience
You must possess:
• A degree or equivalent level qualification
• A recognised professional qualification in marketing would be a distinct advantage
• Extensive experience in a management role - in-house or with an agency
• Ability to travel within the UK
