A Supervisor is required to oversee the effective, timely management & service delivery for all reactive maintenance and improvement works on a Military Housing Contract in Aldershot.

You will take ownership and direct responsibility to oversee projects on time and within budget to a high level of customer satisfaction and ensure that they are fully compliant with all health & safety requirements and KPIs.

Responsibilities will include:

* Monitor Supply Chain performance, service delivery, quality and safe working on site
* Support Area Delivery Managers to deliver tasks on maintenance and Additional Works activities
* Provide Professional and Technical support and advice where required to maintenance teams, the Employer and End Users
* Support the Help Desk, respond to request for professional and technical advice
* Ensure safety equipment and PPE is stored and maintained correctly
* Periodically examine maintenance records to ensure that necessary work has been undertaken as required by the safe system of work
* Ensure compliance and adherence of with Health, Safety, Sustainability and Fire procedures
* If an Appointed Person (AP), accept sole responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of JSP 375
* Ensure as far as reasonably practical that all persons within the site observe the requirements of

JSP 375

* Issue and cancel permits and related documents under the safe system of work
* Appoint Skilled Persons in accordance with the procedures JSP 375and other MoD Notices and Instructions
* Produce risk assessments and method statements and where necessary safety programmes and permits to work
* Inspect safety equipment before and after use
* Review risk registers and follow maintenance and management processes

To be successful in securing the role of Supervisor you will have:

HNC level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related discipline (or equivalent experiential experience).

* Technical training to maintain and develop technical competence in the one or more of the following:

AP1 - Electricity & AGL

AP2 - Mechanical & Pressure Systems (inc gas & Medigas)

AP3 - PET

AP4 Confined Spaces and/or working at Height

* Technical qualifications as required by JSP 375
* Experience of P405 Asbestos Management
* Emergency first aid
* Fire safety
* Familiarity with and experienced in working to SRP safe system of work appropriate to the discipline
* Training in accordance with the requirements of JSP 375
* Health and Safety qualification at National Level 3, such as certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, NEBOSH General Certificate or another equivalent
