My client, a successful global leader in the hydraulics and fluid transfer industry, has an exciting new opportunity within their North of England team as a Business Development Manager, focusing solely on the hydraulics area of the business.

The company has grown significantly over previous years and is now looking to maintain this growth and break into new markets in the industry across the North of England.

The Role

This brand new role will involve contacting and visiting clients across the North of England from the Humber to the Scottish Borders from your, already, extensive list of contacts within your network in the hydraulics industry. You will identify opportunities with existing and potential clients within the hydraulics field. Due to the breadth of the area covered the role could be home based, depending on your location, with regular planned update meetings arranged with the Site Branch Manager and other members of the Business Development team.

The Individual

The successful candidate will be from a business development background and have worked within a similar role with for a hydraulics company, whether that be from the field of, marine, sub-sea, oil & gas, manufacturing or a combination of the above. The right individual will have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, have an excellent command of the English language, have good presentation skills and be used to dealing with senior level clients. You must be computer literate and be confident using Microsoft office packages including, Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Daily travel to and from client meetings is required so a full UK driving licence and own transport is essential.

Remuneration

Salary is negotiable and will depend on an individual's level of experience within the field of hydraulics business. The remuneration package also includes 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, company pension and competitive full benefits package, on application it would be helpful to include salary expectations.
