Key global client of ours are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to get involved in a state of the art Pharmaceutical Project. You as the Quantity Surveyor, will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the commercial and surveying aspects of new build, refurbishment and design and build projects.

You will be a strong team player, well organised and capable of organising others with the ability to manage people, processes and time. You will be able to demonstrate continuing professional development and an on-going commitment.

As the Quantity Surveyor ideally you would;

- Manage/monitor/report on all commercial aspects of projects
- Participate in identifying areas of risk/scope and develop/monitor with the project team
- Produce cost control document using information from final agreed contract pricing documents
- Deal with NEC forms of contract, specifically NEC 3
- Register and acknowledge receipt of all project enquires from potential subcontractor and suppliers
- Formulate a working relationship with all members of the client team
- Participate in procurement of sub-contract works packages and any material/equipment "supply only" packages
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Develop and maintain accurate cost reporting/monitoring/forecasting for;

- Building works
- Engineering works
- Preliminaries
- Design Cost/performance
- Increased cost/market trends
- Cash flow

Key Requirements:

- BSc in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject (highly desirable)
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Experience of package negotiation
- Computer literate with working knowledge of word, excel and outlook
- Working knowledge of NEC 3
- Chartered membership of RICS or CIOB (preferred but not essential)
