A great opportunity has arisen to join our rapidly expanding manufacturing client based in Corby, Northamptonshire as a Site & Production Engineer/Multi-Skilled Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer. This is a long term Permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm (flexibility is essential for this role, as attending out of hours call outs will be required).
The successful Site & Production Engineer/Multi-Skilled Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Production Management to arrange PPM for the busy manufacturing site/production area. Along with attending all day to day maintenance issues, including machinery breakdowns, and site maintenance, ensuring minimum production down time. You will be responsible for procurement for the Engineering Department, arranging and coordinating outside maintenance contractors when required. This is a stand alone position within the company, so ownership of the role is essential, reporting directly into senior management
The successful Site & Production Engineer/Multi-Skilled Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer will demonstrate previous Site & Production Engineer/Multi-Skilled Engineer/Manufacturing experience, ideally from a Packaging, or Food & Beverage environment. Have strong working knowledge of both Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Plumbing knowledge would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be 17th Edition certified, and either City Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. As an individual the successful Site & Production Engineer/Multi-Skilled Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer will need to have a natural ability to problem solve in a positive manner, and enjoy working on their own accord.
