Cost reductions and effecting team planning to be in place at all times. To manage the fulfillment of customer orders ensuring that all department targets and customer promise is met at all times.Key Responsibilities in this role will include; To support the Shift Manager to achieve an efficient and effective operation meeting goals and objectives.Working for continuous improvement in line with H&S guidelines and site procedures and processesPlan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirementsDirect the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team membersFacilitate effective communication and relationships both inter shift and other departmental functionsReduce costs by effective management of hours and work at all timesPersonal hygiene and appearance to be maintained at a professional and acceptable standard at all timesEnsure effective control of MHE usage to ensure minimal damage providing evidence of spot checksEnsure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in ecommerceWork in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximise efficiency and best practiceEnsure company policies are communicated, applied and enforcedOrganise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels using coaching and mentoring skills Contribute to site continuous improvement agendaPreparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)Local project ManagementDeliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriateGenerate excellent EOS resultsManage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy Key skills and experience in this role will include: Experience of management at senior levelExperience of PI and CI methodologiesUnderstanding of best practices Prepare KPI reports, ensuring accurate reporting to the Contract General ManagerHas been trained in all First Choice MethodologyFirst Line manager ExperienceHigh school/secondary education What will you get in return?As a part of a growing DHL population you will receive access to a variety of our excellent benefits which could include; 25 days holiday, pension scheme, medical cover, childcare vouchers, retail discounts, flexible working, training, development and secondments opportunities and MANY MORE.
