Financial Analyst

An opportunity to join a well-established business, which has over 100 operational sites across the UK and a long history of delivering a first-class service to it's customers. With a number of recent acquisitions and therefore significantly increased workload across finance, our client is seeking a finance professional with a background in analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Reporting to the Regional Financial Analyst, this position is to be based in the company's High Wycombe Head Office team.

The Role

As a Financial Analyst looking after this business' accounts with industrial and commercial clients, you will need to be an effective member of the financial team. You will be responsible for producing robust, reliable, accurate financial information. You will also participate in continual performance improvement through the participation, and implementation of key projects and processes.

Core duties include:

* Carry out monthly account reconciliations.
* Month end accounts preparation, variance analysis and financial commentaries
* Deputise for Regional Financial Analyst when needed
* Assist with re-forecasting and budgeting.
* Work with the Regional Operational team and Regional Finance Analysts at period-end to ensure information submissions are made on time and in full.
* To provide support for query resolution for any issues that arises on the depot and TS P&Ls.
* Maintain other key performance data as required.
* Work closely with operational admin departments to ensure efficient 'right first time' processing of transactions and consistent processes between depots
* Ensure financial controls and processes are followed together with performance of monthly account reconciliations.

The Candidate

As a successful Financial Analyst in this position you're likely to have the following:

* Educated to GCSE standard as a minimum (Maths and English essential)
* Ideally part-qualified studying towards CIMA or ACCA completion
* Experience in a similar role, or in a broader accountancy position with exposure to analysis
* Solid experience of purchase order processing and sales invoicing
* A pro-active, engaging and personable approach to working with customers
* Strong understanding of the workings of support systems i.e. Excel
* Experience of financial period-end processes, forecasting and budgeting
* Adaptable team player
* Excited by working under pressure with the ability to prioritise
* High level of numeracy and accuracy
* Target driven approach to your work

Benefits Package

The Financial Analyst will receive a basic annual salary of up to GBP35,000 along with a corporate benefits package on top.
