Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd, the world leading company in robotic camera and motion control equipment, has an opening in its R&D Team for a talented Electronics Engineer.
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, with state of the art robotics at major international sporting events such as the recent Rio Olympics, Wimbledon, Major League Baseball and more, and larger rigs used on major motion pictures from Braveheart and the Harry Potter series, to Avatar, Kingsman and Skyfall, Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd. has been spearheading technological advances in camera robotics for decades.
THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MRMC is looking for an Electronics Engineer with Altium Design experience.
The role involves mostly digital electronics, and can be varied, from PCB design, to embedded software, and the creation of user interfaces. Most products involve the control of motors and interfaces for controlling or sensing motion.
This position will be working alongside the existing R&D team of Electronic and Software Engineers. The person should be comfortable working on projects on their own or as part of the team, and should have the technical know-how and confidence to be able to suggest solutions or lead a team when necessary.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience of Altium Design
Electronic hardware design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM preparation
Software development in embedded C
Planning of verification testing for new products
Design of mixed signal low power, low voltage, low noise sensor circuitry
Design of embedded digital control circuitry and real-time microcontroller solutions
PCB layout for good EMC performance
Proven full design cycle experience
Version and configuration control
Very good administrative and documentation skills
A high level of written and spoken English
Advantageous:
Experience of Texas Instrument DSPs, be fluent in Code Composer
Experience of Test Driven Development
Design of low power, low voltage, and high efficiency switch mode power supplies for applications such as LED driving.
Experience of communications systems (SPI, U2C, ZigBee, Ethernet-TCP/IP, RS485, RS232, USB)
Experience of designing products for successful volume manufacture including verification and certification testing
Windows / Linux programming for test applications
This position is full time and available immediately. Salary commensurate with technical skill and experience.
