Constant Security Services is based in South Yorkshire and provides manned guarding services throughout West Yorkshire and North of England and employs over 600 full and part time staff. We are always looking for individuals who will improve the service that we are providing to our customers.
We have a full time vacancy available working a regular rota at University of Huddersfield, which is a combination of nights, days and weekends.
The main role of the security officer will be to provide security support and assistance to staff, visitors and a diverse range of students in order to maintain a safe and secure University campus. The site also requires the officer to conduct a large lock and unlock at time critical times during the shift.
The role involves actively working as part of a large team to deliver a first class service. The candidate needs to be flexible and able to adapt to working in a large and diverse campus. It is essential that the candidate has an understanding that situations need to be dealt with safely and effectively, situations will often require personal judgement calls so the individual must be confident in making such decisions.

Security officer requirements
Experience working in the security industry is preferred but not essential
Valid Frontline SIA Licence, either Security Guarding or Door Supervisor
Good communication skills
Smart and Presentable
5 year checkable work history in line with BS 7858
Report writing skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to think on their feet and excellent decision making skills
Valid UK Driving Licence is desirable
