Office Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an office administrator to join a growing seafood distribution company.  We have just invested heavily in our infrastructure to accommodate a new product range and are looking for new staff at this exciting time.

The Job

The role is based at our Loughborough Office and is a full time, permanent role, working 42½ hours a week over 5 days out of a 7-day working week.

The Ideal Office Administrator

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • IT Literate with good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel and able to confidently learn new software, with appropriate training
  • Confident and effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Team worker
  • Previous telesales experience is preferred
  • Highly organised

The Role:

The main duties of the position will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Provide an efficient high quality telephone service to our customers and communicating and assisting with all levels of the business to ensure a smooth running of the office.
  • Provide basic administrative support to our managers
  • Assisting managers with daily customer orders and processing it with our intranet
  • Provide high level of service to customers on the phone and maintaining good customer relationships
  • Processing and filing documents and customer invoices 
  • Managing a mixture of outgoing and incoming calls, whether it being general queries or customer orders
  • Managing and replying daily emails with a professional manner

The Company

Established in 1997, the Company began as a “one man and his van” frozen seafood delivery service and has since expanded into a leading independent wholesalers and distributors of fresh and frozen food products, building on over 30 years experience in the catering supply industry. In 2005, a custom designed storage facility was built in Loughborough which allowed easy logistics not only to the Midlands, but also to the rest of the UK including Northern Ireland.
