Head of HR

Our client is a well-established and successful logistics / distribution business with a fast-paced and entrepreneurial culture. They currently have an opportunity for a Head of HR to join the business on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Board, this is a broad HR Generalist role responsible for both operational and strategic HR and managing a small team providing day to day advice and support to employees and senior stakeholders in a multi-site shop floor and head office environment. Additionally, ensuring policies, procedures and contracts of employment are maintained and up-to-date. The role will also work closely with the Directors to support the development and implementation of the HR, L&D and Reward Strategy in line with the business strategy and objectives. We are looking for a minimum of MCIPD qualified candidate who has solid senior level HR experience gained in a fast-paced, manufacturing / logistics / distribution environment where they have reported directly to the Board in a business with in excess of 1000 employees. The employees working within the business are diverse, and so experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels would be desirable.
