Process Operative (6 months)What is the purpose of the role?We are looking for a Process Operative to work on a temporary basis (minimum of 6 months to cover sick leave) for the UK's largest water and Sewerage Company based at Camberley Sewage Treatment Works. You will perform a range of activities to ensure that all equipment associated with our sewage treatment works are running safely and efficiently to enable the Site Technicians are able to carry out their duties. This includes cleaning machines, sample testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards.What makes this role unique?Working outside with no one day being the same provides a very interesting working environment.Based at Camberley Sewage Treatment Works, covering this role boasts about its great, closely-knit team where you will never be short of support.You will receive competitive benefits as well as full training will be given for Health & Safety, technical and processes related to the plant.What will this role involve?This role will involve, but not be limited to:Accurately reporting faults and recording work and asset information to improve business performance using the handheld device.Highlighting and reporting hazards, near misses and incidents; making the area safe with a minimum of 2 hazards reported per technician per month, escalating any issues to your line manager as soon as possible.Making sure the work area and tasks have a risk assessment including a SHE 5 completed for all job activities.Having an awareness of budget position and how unplanned events can impact on the budget (e.g. tanker/plant/pump hire, etc.)Working at other sites covering holiday / sickness / extra workload as and when required.Attending all team meetings, engaging with safety briefings and company communications, identifying issues and raising constructive feedback with the management team, with suggestions for improvementsWhat are we looking for?Do you have similar experience working in an outside, manual role?We are looking for someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and will have an enthusiastic approach. You will have basic literacy and numeracy skills and must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including Confined Space Entry. Some computer data input /enquiry experience is desirable.Due to the nature of the role a full, valid UK driving licence is required.Salary InformationThis temporary role is based out of Camberley Sewage Treatment Works, Surrey. We are offering an hourly wage of GBP9.20ph.All necessary equipment such as vehicle and tools are provided.Please note, working hours will be approx. 07:30 - 15:30
