Assistant Warehouse Manager - Gatwick - GBP26,000
Due to further growth, an Assistant Warehouse Manager is required for an award winning and rapidly growing multi site logistics company based near Gatwick. Previous management experience within a warehouse environment is essential for this position. Previous experience working for a logistics company will be beneficial.
Assistant Warehouse Manager Responsibilities
* Manage and co-ordinate operational activities to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer
* Be proactive in the development of team members
* Recognise training needs and provide solutions
* Coordinate and delegate within a team whilst remaining operationally hands on
* Assign and organise staff to ensure full contract coverage at all times
* Proactively look for process improvements
* Ensure activities are cost effective
Assistant Warehouse Manager Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years warehousing experience is essential for this position.
* A minimum of 3 years management experience will be highly beneficial
* Work experience working in the logistics industry will be beneficial
* Knowledge on warehouse health & safety laws is essential
Package:
Salary up to GBP26,000 dependant on experience
Pension
28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
