Large independent chartered accountancy practice seeks ambitious qualified, Audit/Accounts Seniors with the clear aim to progress to owner/partnership. Reporting to a seasoned team of partners and responsible for accounts and audit staff during the successful completion of audit and accounts assignments, you will: • Conduct assigned audit and accounts engagements successfully from beginning to end • Apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identify potential issues • Communicate identified issues with senior management, offering solutions to ensure they are addressed • Supervise junior auditors assigned to engagements, providing guidance and overall review of deliverables • Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances and risk • Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives • Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented • Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards • Communicate assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results • Organise personal effort along with those of junior staff to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times • Ensure adequate focus on professional growth of self and staff relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in line with rapid audit career progression, proactively seeking relevant education and training opportunities You will need: • A track record of success, progression and leadership in an practice based audit and accountancy role • Relevant professional qualifications, such as ACA • Working/applied evidence of technical expertise and/or continuing professional education • A positive, highly committed, service-oriented and politically-aware approach, underpinned by high integrity, sensitivity, adaptability and first class communication skills Please note: High levels of interest mean we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days.
