Regional Manager - Business Finance (Peer to Peer) Client Summary: One of the largest peer to peer lenders in the world who are becoming a household name in the UK. Overview of the Regional Manager - Business Finance position: You will be working for a small but quickly growing team within Business Finance who are focused on new lending requests from SME's. This is a front office function and therefore you must have excellent communication skills and ability to ask the necessary questions and obtain the required information. This role is very exacting and therefore time management skills are paramount. Your ability to assess, challenge and formulate proposals using judgment is key to the success of this role. Our clients Business Finance team has a purpose to be passionate about funding SME's, to help them grow and/or become more productive. Their model includes a great simple platform as well as a human touch. They allow customers to tell them their story if that story is a good one, but not obvious from public information. Our client values customer service more than any other KPI, and although hard metrics are important a happy customer is what is ultimately responsible for repeat business and referrals. Duties of the Regional Manager - Business Finance role include: Business Development: Achieve demanding Team lending objectives Find deals/following leads/researching leads to pursue new business in London and the South East Credit Assessment: Review all assigned SME lending proposals. Liaise with borrower to request required information to undertake a full review of proposal received. Attend customer meetings and undertake telephone interviews to progress loan applications. Undertake a full assessment of the proposal including research and verification. Ensure smooth handover to a New Finance Coordinator to perform deal fulfilment. Marketing/Business Development: Market/promote our client where appropriate. Assist with business development initiatives as required What we're looking for: An experienced SME lender - you could come from a business banking, commercial banking, invoice finance or asset finance background Someone with a strong client / professional / intermediary / broker network they can utilise to win new business Someone who shares our clients vision to define the face of modern finance You'll be highly motivated and an optimist, possibly have people management skills, and be able to bring your technical and analytical skills to the role.
