CNC Operator

Our Bedford based client are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator who will be working on high value one-off components featuring complex 3D surfaces made from high-tensile steels and aluminium, to exacting tolerances and quality standards. The successful candidate will be able to plan the production method and create part programmes using CAD/CAM software (preferably Delcam Powermill and PowerShape software but not essential). They will be able to specify tooling requirements including any jigs and fixtures or special cutting tools. They will also be able to competently set and operate 3, 4 and 5 axis vertical milling CNC machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems up to TNC 530. The ideal applicant will be a time served, fully skilled mechanical engineer with relevant experience of using CAD/CAM programming as a Programmer/Setter/Operator. They will have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models. The successful candidate must satisfy security clearance requirements.
