Our client is the trade association for pharmacy professionals in the UK. Their aim is to support independent community pharmacies to succeed professionally and commercially for the benefit of their patients.
Purpose of Business Development Manager (PGD)
They currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Patient Group Directives (PGD) Development Manager to join them on a fixed term maternity cover contract (12 months). PGDs offer training of the pharmacies that offer private services to patients; these would include Flu and Travel vaccinations as an example.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager PGD
Within the role you will grow existing accounts develop new profitable business opportunities and revenue via:
- competitor analysis
- proactive contact and relationship building
- design and implementation of outbound calling campaigns
- sales and market research
Skills Required for Business Development Manager
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- previous business development experience
- sales and lead generation experience
- the ability to sell and negotiate to customers and suppliers at all levels
- customer service skills and experience
- strong attention to detail
- good presentation skills
Pharmacy knowledge is preferred but not essential.
