Newline ASP are a family run IT firm based in Torquay in Devon. Newline specializes in IT solutions for auctions throughout the UK and Ireland.
Newline supports over 80% of the livestock auction business in the UK and 50% in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Newline is growing our client base in other auction sectors such as plant and machinery sales, wine, furniture, commercial and fine-art auctions. Newline is currently looking to grow into North America. This position may involve a rota based evening support outside of our normal working hours.
There is a full-time position for a candidate with technical support skills. Working as part of our help desk team.
The potential candidate will need to be experienced in Windows server 2008 & 2012, networking with a thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi, Virtual server solutions.
Newline know our customers well, by first name and build up a great rapport with them. Customer service and satisfaction is vitally important maintaining our good name and reputation within the industry. Newline offer an all in one IT solution and provide our own bespoke software, networking and hardware to our clients.
Applicants must have a minimum of two years' experience in a technical support role. The role will involve phone support to our clients dealing with technical queries about windows operating systems, email, routers, networking, wi-fi, printers, PCs, laptops windows servers, exchange server and our software products. Much of the support is carried out via the Internet and dialing into client computers via terminal services. Occasionally onsite support is required.
There are likely to be opportunities to travel across the UK and Ireland to assist in installations and provide onsite support and training. The job will be extremely varied.
