Network Technical Specialist

Do you have an up to date CCNP, CCNA, JNCIP, MCSE or BCNP qualification along with at least 3 years commercial experience with Network design, configuration and management? Have you got experience in providing networking solutions to customer requirements providing HLD and LLD documentation to project teams?Have you got experience with Network Security/Administration and in particular using Brocade or Mcaffe? if you met 2 or more of the above criteria please continue with your application...Network Technical Specialist 37 hours per week Salary: ??45,596 - ??48,596 Location : Bristol Duration: Permanent The core purpose of the role is to provide project management, team management, service management or technical specialist functions through experienced/qualified professionals and specialists for Technology Services and its Clients. The post holder provides professional and technical expertise and analysis, acting as a subject matter expert within their specialism of Servers, Systems, Database Analysis/Management and/or Development, Unix, Voice Networks, Data Networks, Security, Application Support, Application Development or Desktop within Technology Services to provide support and development services for the applications and infrastructure of its Clients and Internal Staff also. The service will include the analysis, design, development, installation, configuration, tuning and support of all devices, infrastructure and applications for Technology Service Key Skills * Experience of a wide range of network management processes, technologies, tools and associated infrastructure in order to assume day-to-day responsibility for design is important. * You will be responsible for implementing and the on-going support of our clients' wide ranging network infrastructure systems, much of which is critical to their public-facing business operations. * The WAN, LAN, MAN and WLAN network services include lines, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, virtual private networks, switches, access points and associated management systems from various 3rd parties so an understanding managing services from 3rd parties would be an advantage. * Extensive network management with a focus recently towards network security.* Extensive experience of LAN, WAN, MAN and VLAN support and management; * Involved with project focused work including pre and post design work * ITIL Foundation (v3), CCENT, Checkpoint Firewall, MCSE and Prince 2 certified* Resolve complex networking issues. * Possessing effective organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of networking technologies and having a commitment to keep up to date with the latest developments. * Experienced in providing motivation, guidance and up to date networking consultancy service to both colleagues and clients.* Experience of all aspects of networking from onsite cabling and installation through to remote management and configuration of enterprise management tools* Experienced in providing networking solutions to customer requirements providing HLD and LLD documentation to project teams * There will be an On Call Rota that you will need to be part of within the team on a rota basis * Good organisational and time management skills are required. * Solid analytic and troubleshooting skills are also a necessity. * You would be expected to hold relevant certification at CCNP / CCNA, JNCIP or BCNP with evidence of relevant experience This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced, expanding organisation with on-going training, excellent on site facilities, subsidised gym membership, company car/benefits and an immediate start date for the ideal candidate.
