Assistant Store Manager required for fast paced discount retailer in Belfast - GBP17K - GBP20K Already firmly established in the UK, this fast paced discount retailer is best known for their immaculate presentation and superior customer service. Established over 15 years ago, there are now close to 250 stores nationwide. The company have put in place ambitious plans to double this total over the next few years, and are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Store Managers to help build on their success. The Belfast store is of substantial size and will be taking in regular deliveries 2-3 times per week. This is a consequential volume of stack and will be turned over at a rapid rate. Footfall will be high and you will assist in the management of up to 20 staff who will be employed in order to maintain an efficient operating structure. Your job as Assistant Store Manager will be to support the Store Manager with the smooth running of the store and the supervision of a range day-to-day operations including; lead by example in achieving sales and wages targets within budget, drive profitability through increasing sales & controlling costs, ensure all staff are service and sales trained; delivering the 12 Steps of Service, assist with all stock control activities. You will be highly visible throughout the store and be hands-on at all times. You will ensure the store is immaculate in appearance and cleanliness, making sure cleaning rotas are up to date and staff dress code / appearance is adhered to.This is a challenging and yet exciting opportunity that will only suit the strongest of candidates therefore it is essential that you have experience in a similar role and from a similar background in terms of a large store / high-volume / fast-paced environment.
