Assistant Tax Manager

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Tax Manager to join a major operator in the UK services industry. Based in Exeter the role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. This is an instrumental role within the recruiting organisation and the successful candidate will assist the Head of Tax to manage tax risk and assist the Operations Oversight Team in the delivery of service and support new business, change and product development initiatives.Key responsibilities will include:• Assisting the Head of Tax on new business and change activity, including product development, ensuring tax issues are identified, addressed and escalated appropriately• Deputise for the Head of Tax as required • Support the Relationship Managers by providing tax input to discussions• Maintain and enhance technical tax knowledge within the team and encourage technical development of team members • Provide technical support to tax projects • Ad hoc work as determined by the Board and Head of TaxThe successful candidate will:• Be ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent• Have gained corporate tax experience in either professional practice or commerce • Be able to identify, understand and document complex technical requirements and issues• Be able to develop individual team member skills & competencies• Possess strong IT and communication skillsThis is an urgent requirement and suitably experienced candidates should contact Steve Roach quoting SR3141 for further details.
