Part-time VAT + Tax Accountant - Permanent - Basingstoke - GBP25,000 (Pro Rata)
We are recruiting for one of our key clients in Basingstoke. This role is for someone to join the Tax & VAT team. This would be a great role for someone with VAT & Tax experience that is looking to add to their skills and experience within a vibrant team.
Responsibilities:
*Monthly extraction of data from the company accounting systems, ensuring complete and accurate information for each return
*Analysis data needed for the preparation, validation and submission of timely and accurate VAT returns on a monthly and quarterly basis
*Preparation of tax journals
*Maintenance of commodity code records
*Update of VAT records and returns
*Build and maintain strong working relationships
*Assisting with Tax Analysis
*Assist with specific projects as these arise
Experience & Qualifications
*Experience of working in a tax function
*Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
*AAT qualified or equivalent, with tax component
Required Skills & Competencies
*Strong numerical background and excellent Excel skills, including Pivot tables
*High levels of accuracy and an eye for detail
*Excellent Communicational Skills
