Estimator Buyer (Commercial Gas Plumber)

Now Careers currently have a vacancy for an established Commercial Buidling Services Maintenance company with their head office based in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. Due to continual profitable growth they are seeking a mechanical Estimator / Buyer to join the team. whilst the role is for an Estimator / buyer role they would happy to consider applicants from expereinced commercial gas engineers who wish to develop their estimating and buying capabilities, typical project value is 5k to 15k. The role will also involve travelling throughout the North East and a company vehilce will be provided. Responsibilities : Prepare fully costed job (Mechanical & Gas) estimates and clients quotations using information supplied from field engineers or from site visits. Undertake technical take offs from client plans and specifications, create BOQ's and then use this information to: Secure prices and supply of equipment required to required lead times. Combine information with standard project costs (labour and OH&P) to create client quotations and tenders. Act as a subject matter expert by supporting our technical support teams in specifying and sourcing supplies andspare parts for lower value jobs (5k below). Be the owner of the prefered supplier / equipment / price database so that it is always upto date with the latest and correct information. Contribute to continous improvement to the business and it's performance and any other tasks to the job.

Qualifications : Current Gas Safe / ACS qualifications preferred but not essential. Current Drving Licence and ability to work in the Uk.

Experience: Experienced in Commercial (gas) mechanical services, heating and hot water services. Experience in reading drawings and preparing take offs. Excellent communication, skills. IT Literate with working knowledge of Excel and Word. rvices r
