Excellent new job for a Senior Building Surveyor to work client side based in Lancaster.

Your new company
You will work for a national client side hospitality company who are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join the business based in Lancaster, Lancashire. There are 7 sites throughout the UK you will be responsible for reporting to the construction director.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the development of all refurbishment projects for all 7 UK resorts covering all aspects of building surveying in line with building regulations and DDA access requirements. Working closely with Managers and Heads of Maintenance departments on project definition and onsite work, specifying and tendering refurbishments whilst defining and cost planning future/long term projects.
Key duties include:
Manage long term property maintenance for all sites nationally to be able to plan repair works over the next 5 years.
Cost plans for annual repairs and projects, to include occasional small new build projects (generally GBP0.5 - GBP1.0m).
Devise plans and layout arrangements.
Manage specifications, and bill of tender.
Manage project tenders.
Manage project cost control.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and DDA access requirements.
Forward looking to plan maintenance and repair works over the following years.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be MRICS qualified and a building surveyor by background. You will be able to advise on architectural and building services issues.
Be competent to give technical solutions
Efficient in the use of AutoCAD, to be able to draw project plans and coordinate furniture layouts with Purchasing.
Influencing skills - ability to engender trust and support and to interact with people across the business at various levels.
Experience of working with Listed Buildings is preferred, but not essential.
Experience of working with the Hospitality Industry is preferred, but not essential.
Knowledge of building defects analysis.
Strong demonstration of cost analysis of refurbishment and building repair works.

What you'll get in return
This is a unique opportunity to work client side for a large company who are growing in the market. You will receive a package up to GBP50000 depending on experience, 37 hour week, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holiday.
