Materials Controller
Salary: Up to GBP23,000 dependent upon experience
Key Accountabilities
- Checking of incoming fabricated parts against technical drawings and liaising with the Quality & Support Engineer when non-conforming parts are identified
- Booking in goods using computerised system (Winman)
- Chase suppliers for parts when delivery is overdue
- Populating "kit" boxes for machine and spares orders
- Arrange 2nd operation actions for parts (i.e. polishing, anodising, painting) by raising Purchase Orders and organising the delivery/collection
- Maintain stock levels of consumable items, informing Purchasing when minimum stock levels are reached
- Take responsibility for the Goods In/Stores area including checking stock locations
- Perform regular stock takes
- Return unused allocated parts to stock
- Collate and manage Material Certificates received from suppliers, ensuring certified material can be tracked
Essential Skills / Qualifications
-Previous stores/warehouse experience
-Hold a clean Driving License
-Possess good IT skills
Desirable
-Previous experience in engineering environment
-Basic ability to read technical engineering drawings
-Previous use of MRP software
-Hold a valid counterbalance fork lift truck license
