Cook required on a permanent basis to take up new position with immediate effect. This role is to work 20 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends. Candidates must be flexible to cover holidays.

The main duties of your role will be to prepare and cook hot food such as lasagnes, burgers and pizzas as well as prepare and make up hot and cold sandwiches, jacket potatoes and children's meals. You will have excellent customer service skills when serving the general public and maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times.

Other duties will include:
• Maintain and keep clean all aspects of the kitchen area at all times during the working day;
• Ensure the kitchen and all appliances are thoroughly cleaned down before end of shift;
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed on a daily basis;
• Ensure all food cooked and uncooked is date labelled and these labels are adhered to at all times;
• Ensure food is probed to the correct temperature throughout the day;
• Manage your time and bake cakes/pastries when required;
• Keep updated on food allergens and answer customer queries accordingly;
• Replenish stock;
• Maintain stock rotation daily;
• Weekly stock checks;
• Mentor younger members of staff;
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Manager or Deputy Manager.

Candidates must have experience in a similar role, hold Level 1 Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a comprehensive understanding of Food Hygiene requirements and responsibilities, including Food Allergen training
