This role is for a full time position; however we will consider part time applicants.

Are you a qualified, HCPC registered social worker with at least 3 years post registration experience as a social worker in a social care or multi-agency community setting?

Our role in the hospital is to assess to discharge residents of Surrey in a safe and timely manner. You will be closely working within a multi disciplinary team and will always be working within a Whole Systems approach. You will be an excellent communicator, motivated, supportive, flexible, creative and a team player. You will have or develop a passion for hospital social work and thrive on a fast pace working environment and feel positive in making a difference to people's lives.

You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation and its application to practice in a social care setting. You will receive professional supervision and be working in a team of motivated, dedicated and friendly colleagues. You will be able to communicate in a clear, fluent, concise and jargon free way and in a courteous, calm and professional manner. You will have experience of, and be able to provide, professional, reflective supervision, guidance and advice to less experienced social workers, including those completing ASYE and social work students.

Experience of working within the following areas; Supervising (support and training will be given), Safeguarding. Mental Capacity Act and Continuing Health Care. Ability to apply knowledge of The Mental Capacity Act and experience of undertaking safeguarding enquiries is essential alongside experience of working in complex situations using professional judgement and a range of interventions. Flexibility to work shift patterns across 7 days a week, Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat and Sun 9am-5pm with your future colleagues who are friendly and very supportive. A Social Worker degree, HCPC registration and ASYE if qualified on or after June 2012.
