A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experience COBOT Automation Engineer to join a well-establishes and leading international manufacturer of cleaning equipment. Based in Chard, Somerset, the successful applicant will join the Engineering Department to earn a salary of circa £31,000.

At present the company employs around 1000 people at its manufacturing site in Chard, Somerset. As a COBOT Automation Engineer, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

At present the company employs around 1000 people at its manufacturing site in Chard, Somerset. As a COBOT Automation Engineer, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Improving current processes to enable the company to remain competitive
- Training members of the team in all aspects of control systems and equipment
- Driving forward the company vision of introducing COBOTS (Collaborative robots) into the work place, these will work alongside the operator performing repetitive and non-value added tasks
- Able to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Experience of design, setting up and implementation of systematic research and development of human/robot automation technologies and techniques
- Experience of pneumatic circuit design, System specification, Programming using different makes of PLC control.
- Experience in specifying control elements in automation
- Experience in interfacing control systems with machinery
- Knowledge of standard ISO13849 machinery/system control safety
- Knowledge of standard ISO10218 Robots and robotic devices safety package (including collaborative robots)
- Experience in Fieldbus systems
- Experience of CAD systems
- Industrial work placement or experience within a company
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Candidate must have successfully completed new design development and technological innovations
- Good IT skills
- High level of analytical and critical thinking
