Learning Mentor

Learning mentor required to start in January within a Bristol based school. The school are looking for someone to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support to students under the guidance of the education lead. We are looking for candidates who will act as a positive role model for vulnerable young people who have become disengaged with mainstream education.

37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday


Duties will include;
Working with students on a one to one or small group basis
Providing own transport to collect from and drop students home/agreed destination on a daily basis
Assist, follow and lead student activities and project based learning opportunities on or off-site which are in line with individual student timetables.
Work with other staff to draw up and implement personal support plans for each student

We are looking for someone with;
Experience in working in a front line service e.g. education or social care
Working with challenging or vulnerable individuals
A pragmatic approach to problem solving and a positive attitude to change
Full clean drivers licence, as use of own car is essential
