Cook required for busy Residential Care Home.

Due to its remote location the ideal candidate would live locally or be able to access own transport as the home is not on a regular public transport route.

Reporting to the Home Manager the successful candidate will be an organised and helpful leader in a busy kitchen environment. Working from newly created menus you will be responsible for organizing, preparing and serving appetizing and freshly produced food, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.

Key to your success in this role will be your experience within the food industry, along with the ability to build a strong team spirit in the kitchen. Experience in a care, hospital or school environment would be desirable but not essential. Working across the week with some hours required on alternate weekends the post holder will be on a minimum of 15 hours per week permanent position. They would have 10 hours available to work as a Kitchen Assistant for the right candidate.

To apply for the role you should have a minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 or 706/2 in Catering, Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate, knowledge of textured/modified diets is also advantageous.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
