Purpose of the role:

Primarily to manage ad-hoc research projects for UK, European and US based international pharmaceutical companies involving both qualitative and quantitative research techniques.

To manage, coach and develop more junior members of the team and act as a role model in this context

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:


Management of a number of key clients with a view to actively seeking out and driving new business opportunities
Develops client relationships and is considered a key point of contact by clients for project requests/questions
Proactively communicates with clients to understand how research is being used to drive client business
Responsible for organising brainstorming sessions and writing/coordinating proposals coaching junior members of the team where appropriate
Produces job costs and monitors the costs and profitability of projects understanding the impact on our business


Delivering Excellence:


Works autonomously on complex quantitative or qualitative research projects
Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of techniques and applications of qualitative & quantitative research and is able to suggest and advise on appropriate methodology & sample sizes
Takes responsibility for all aspects of project management from new product development, pre-launch branding & communication, proposal writing, post-launch optimisation and re-positioning to the delivery of a presentation and the final report to the client
Develops strong relationships with clients communicating on all areas of the projects and any issues/subjects outside of project areas.
Thinks 'beyond PowerPoint' for final deliverables and implements this where appropriate


Internal management:


Has strong relationships with Operations and proactively inputs to improving processes
Follows the audit checklist and the Kantar Health quality standard framework on every project
Communicates with other Kantar Health UK teams in a timely and professional manner
Consistently meets deadlines required by both clients and other internal departments
Proactively takes a lead in some outputs of internal initiatives and work streams designed to improve what we offer as a business


Development:


Prioritises workloads to ensure that agreed deadlines are met
Actively seeks out information and builds networks across the healthcare business and wider industry
Keeps abreast of developments in the pharmaceutical industry
Development of self and others in line with business requirements
Responsible for managing 2 to 3 projects at any one time, plus the associated project teams to meet objectives, whilst providing the main point of contact with the client.
Awareness and relevant utilisation of internal experts i.e. Advanced Methods, Creative Impact Team, Client Consulting Team
Support senior management in recruitment, training, coaching and management of junior staff, as well as developing and implementing internal company procedures

Desired experience


Significant experience in Market Research, either agency or client side
Knowledge of corporate financials
Some knowledge of Healthcare Industry would be of great advantage
