Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Talent Coach on behalf of their client, a leading social housing provider based in Tameside.

The Association are recruiting to host a Talent Coach within the organisation.  The role is part of the Greater Manchester Talent Match project, a Big Lottery funded scheme aimed at tackling youth unemployment in 21 areas of England.

It is a five-year investment for those aged 18-24 who have not been in employment, education or training for twelve months or more and need particular support to help them along their pathway to work.

The role is a fixed-term position up to March 2017 with the possibility of an extension and it involves working intensively with 14 young people in order to help them into employment.

A support and training infrastructure will be provided to the successful Talent Coach in order to help them with their work.     

To be successful you will be educated to GCSE Level as a minimum and ideally have a qualification in youth work. Excellent communication skills essential as is the ability to engage effectively with people from a diverse background.

The ability to develop meaningful relationships with young people, whilst maintaining professional boundaries and ability to build positive relationships with external organisations is vital.

You will have good IT skills, ability to prioritise in order to meet monitoring deadlines and be confident in providing high-quality advice to enable young people overcome personal and practical barriers
