Exciting opportunity for a finance assistant to work three days a week, within a highly regarded financial company in the centre of Bath. In this role, you would be working alongside the Operations Manager to maintain accurate financial records for accounts preparation, monthly management information and compulsory FCA reporting. The level of responsibility granted to you would depend on your previous experience, and as such you could either be managing or assisting with tasks that would include: the accurate preparation of sales invoicesthe processing of sales and purchase invoices via SAGEthe completion of monthly bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliationsallocating income received via back office systems to individual client planscalculating advisor and introducer monthly payments and preparing statementsassisting with new business submissionsmonitoring and chasing aged debtorspreparing data for quarterly VAT returnsmonitoring absences, holidays and overtime to assist with monthly payrollpreparing reports for monthly management meetingsassisting with the set-up and maintenance of agency relationshipsassisting the finance manager with the regular analysis of data To be considered for this role, you will need to be AAT Level 2 qualified, and you must have at least 1 years' experience within a financial services or wealth management company. You must also: have experience with Microsoft Office and SAGEhave a good working knowledge of Excel including Pivot tablesbe accurate, and have strong attention to detailbe self-motivated and pro-active Ideally, you would also be able to demonstrate a record of excellent customer service and people skills, as well as knowledge of financial products, and experience in administration.
