Job title: Logistics Controller

Location: Loughton

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000pa

The role offers an opportunity to work for the UKs leading drug and alcohol testing provider utilising and developing procurement, logistics and stock management skills in an operational based role.

The Logistics Controller will be responsible for working with Customer Services, Suppliers, Couriers and Medical Professionals and you will work to ensure that customers get 100% customer satisfaction through accuracy of service and communication.

The Logistics Controller role requires commitment, a very keen eye for detail, meticulous planning and good analytical skills. A 'can do' attitude is key to ensure the Logistics Department delivers services in line with agreed SLAs and works in the most efficient and streamlined manner.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The Logistics Controller Role requires close liaison with internal departments (e.g. Supply Chain,

Customer Service, and Finance) to ensure:

  • 100% customer satisfaction
  • Rapid and effective resolution of any service/stock/customer or supply issues
  • Full support to be given to Supply Chain and Logistics when required
  • Accountability and ownership for the logistics area and all product and stock
  • Ability to work well on your own and also as part of a wider team to deliver service as well as troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and other areas within the business
  • Flexible in approach to work with the ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • The Logistics Controller role is based in Loughton. You will primarily work in the warehouse area where appropriate PPE will be required.
  • Our client is ideally looking for the suitable candidate to have experience within a fast paced logistics role. You will have strong analytical skills and problem solving skills and be able to identify any potential issues, trends and recommend and implement a solution.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Possess excellent personal organisational and business administration skills
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure
  • Demonstrate good IT literacy skills, familiarity with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to follow procedures accurately and diligently
