Desktop Support Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their ever expanding company based in Crawley, West Sussex. If progression and a fantastic working environment is key for your next job role this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The successful Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for being the face of IT within the company. Dealing with 1st and 2nd Line support issues through a ticketing system, direct desktop support and via email requests, you will be working within a supportive and knowledgeable team. Outstanding customer service and the ability to converse and build a rapport with all levels of the business will need to come as second nature in this position.

Key responsibilities for the Desktop Support Engineer:

- Support users solve technical issues with their computers (hardware & software)
- Lease directly with end users to resolve any problems, keeping the end user updated on the current state of a reported issue.
- Logging technical support requests on a bespoke ticketing system
- Providing great customer service - going above and beyond

Key Skills for the Desktop Support Engineer:

- IT Helpdesk experience
- Working within and experience a Windows environment
- Good documentation and record keeping skills
- Experience working with 1st and 2nd line support issues
- Active Directory experience
- Thorough understanding of networking principles
- Office 365 / Microsoft Exchange exprience would be advatnageous
