Our company client is a leading consultancy organisation who are actively looking to appoint a risk focused Asset Management Senior Manager for their vibrant team based in Dublin.This is a unique opportunity to join a widely respected brand in a period of fast paced change.
Overview:
* This is a relatively new sector for advisory consulting and we require a senior manager to assist in growing and developing the group. The asset management sector has seen unprecedented change in recent years and is facing several challenges coupled with regulatory changes. There is a focus on governance and controls as well as investment returns.
Major duties will include:
* The role of the asset management senior manager is to work with senior members of the asset management and wider advisory consulting team in practice development and in the preparation of high-quality client deliverables
* Client targeting and general business development
* Preparation of proposals and client presentations
* Leading teams in the preparation of high-quality deliverables
* Related, data gathering, analysis and presentation
* Developing asset management thought leadership materials
* Participation in team meetings
* Development and coaching of junior staff members
* Develop relationships with partners and managers operating in asset management and consulting
* Risk management and client administration
Background, skills and qualifications required:
* A recognised University degree or equivalent (minimum grade 2.1)
* ACCA or equivalent qualification confers advantage
* An MBA or equivalent confers advantage
* 10+ years in industry role or 7+ years in consulting
* Experience of the asset management sector, with some of the following being key skills for the role:
1.Regulatory expertise, particularly in AML, EMIR, AIFMD, MiFID and UCITS
2.Operational experience in a service provider environment, including risk management expertise
3.Project management and implementation skills
* Evidence of sales effectiveness
* Strong inter-personal skills
* Strong business development acumen
* An ability to build strong networks
* An ability to work effectively under pressure
* Strong analytical and report-writing skills
* An ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
* An ability to manage multiple projects
* A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
