Exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join a well established company in Taunton. This is a 9 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.You will be responsible for providing a professional, friendly and helpful reception / telephony service to all clients, visitors and staff whilst undertaking administrative and some secretarial support duties.Role PurposeTo provide a professional, friendly and helpful reception / telephony service to all clients,visitors and staff in contact with the Taunton office and where relevant the rest of the Firm.Key AccountabilitiesMeet and greet all clients, visitors and staff entering the reception area in aprofessional, courteous and helpful manner, advising the correct member of staff of their arrival.Maintain up to date information on staff movements in and out of the office.Provide administrative and secretarial support (digital dictation and copy typing)including preparing client letters and invoices, new client set-ups, filing, scheduling appointments and organising meetings, forwarding faxes via desktop and photocopying.Ensure the reception area and the meeting rooms are kept clear and tidy and stocked with pens/pads/water etc.Open, sort and deliver incoming post.Collect, collate, envelop and frank outgoing post at the end of the day, ensuring it is ready for collectionReceive client records and ensure they reach the appropriate member of staff. Upon completion of work, ensure they are returned to the client.Monitor client/staff parking and if necessary place parking cones to reserve spaces.On occasion, taking telephone calls for other offices.Ideally (although not essential), the successful candidate will have the following experience,skills and attributes:Reception or telephonist role experience ideally in an office / professional services or high quality customer environmentComputer literateSound communication skills and telephony skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsGood planning, organisational and prioritisation skills Attention to detail and self-motivatedAbility to use own initiative and a good team playerOutgoing and social confident In return my client offers a fantastic place to work in the South West with a competitive and flexible benefits package.
