The company have one of the world's largest and most established actuarial functions within practice. Detailed Job Description:
* Actuarial Managers are involved in the successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including managing both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal team.
* The successful applicant will be expected to drive the production of client deliverables, with an emphasis on quality and teaming.
* They will have a responsibility for assisting with the management and development of more junior colleagues.
* They will look to develop a number of areas of technical excellence, participating in the research and development required to support the growth of these fields of expertise.
* They will be comfortable interacting with clients at a senior level
* They will be expected to adopt an account management mind-set, identifying client specific needs.
* They will be able to positively promote the EY strategy, services and values.
Background and technical competencies required:
* Qualified Actuary, with a minimum of 5 years professional experience in non-life insurance, consultancy or reinsurance
* Demonstrated ability in problem solving and managing multiple tasks
* Excellent technical and analytical skills
* Previous experience in at least two of the following areas is required :
* Solvency II
* Reserving / Financial Reporting
* Pricing
* Capital and Risk Management
* Previous experience in managing more junior staff and delivering projects
* Capable of working autonomously or with a team,
* Excellent communication skills both in written and oral format
* Counselling/mentoring duties and contributing to performance appraisal for staff
