An opportunity now exists for a Raw Materials Manager / Supplier Assurance Manager to join their fantastic technical team, it a great varied role with opportunity to work across the business and gain excellent experience within a high performing team. The Candidate:
-You will have previous experience in dealing and in a quality/ procurement /supply chain management role in a food manufacturing environment.
-Experience of managing and maintaining the supplier databases and ensuring the supplier performance would be ideal.
-Strong working knowledge of compliance legislation, industry best practice and customer codes of practice such as BRC is essential
The Role:
-Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be a key member of Senior Technical Team.particularly purchasing team, suppliers, logistics and our customers to maintain their industry leading standards in Raw Materials.
-You will work to maintain and improve the implement effective Raw Material and Packaging controls to ensure product food safety and quality.
-You will ensure that suppliers have been approved and where necessary perform audits, visits to increase knowledge and awareness.
-Part of your role as Raw Materials Manager will to be action and close out complaint issues directly with suppliers.
-You will attend customer raw material steering groups.
